K5TRPSO LP ALLSOAP SOUP
K5ZDSO HP ALLDigi contesting requires a lot of patience!
K6NRSO LP ALLFun contest, I liked the format and there was lots of activity. Lets do it again sometime
K6RMChecklogInteresting. My first use of FT4, or for that matter, ANY WSJT mode in a contest. I was in NA-VHF mode but I still thought I saw some signal reports being exchanged. Anyway, fun to try something new, even if just for a few Qs
K6UFOMSHThis was a Multi-operator, Single-transmitter operation with three ops remote from the fabulous mountaintop station on Mount Umunhum. K6UFO had this crazy idea to set a M/S Record for the USA, and maybe we did it. K6TD likes digital operating, and was a wizard at getting our remote connections and logging working to the mountaintop station - with VPNs, internet logbooks, TeamViewer, etc... ND2T is a lively optimist and able to keep us moving forward, finding and solving problems, getting us in practice, and pulling together. Everyone had operated FT8/4 before, and was familiar with the Writelog/Digirite software. Everyone was an experienced contest operator, and knew how to keep butt-in-chair, monitor the rate, and pounce on Mults. No major mistakes were made. Without an SO2R- capable station, we could only operate one-band, one-cycle so we tried to keep busy every transmit cycle, and queue up our next target while receiving. Our average rate was 25, our best hour was a 47, our worst was a 6. But the worst arrived late in the contest when K6TD first switched to 80M at 3AM, called CQ, and ZL3TE called, and was worked without any repeats - two overs! Then the internet failed. Cloudflare blames CenturyLink, etc... but the internet was terrible right through to the end of contest. 20m was the best band all day long, and we spent 11 hours there. ND2T spent an hour to pull the easy Qs and Mults from 15m, but not worth more time. 40m was second best band and delivered for over seven hours. 80m was difficult, but needed at the start and finish, and a good run at 05Z. We never bothered with 160m, nor 10m. Mark K6UFO for K6TD, ND2T and K6UFO. KH6MLSO LP ALLALOHA FROM HAWAII. THANKS FOR HOSTING IT
KI6DYChecklogI accidentally sent my old grid square of EM17 to several stations at the beginning of the contest
KJ4LPISO QRP 80MFirst time to participate. Really enjoyed it
KJ7GUISO LP ALLrookie
KK8MMChecklogMy first attempt at this contest. Disappointed as to how few stations chose to operate upband on 20M FT8 , choosing instead to dwell in the massive QRM pileup closer to 14.090 MHz. Seems the contest organizers' encouragements to move upband fell on 'deaf ears' (pun intended)
KM8VSO LP ALLAs usual, spent more time in the chair than I expected to. That seems to happen when Doug AB8M and I are neck and neck on the online scoreboard.. The first half of this contest is just awful. 20 meters is a slog, with lots of QRM and QSB which makes it difficult to get any consistent rate going, at least with 100w and a wire. Once the sun goes down and 40/80 jump to life, it's an entirely different ballgame. Crashed at about 0600z and got back up for the last two hours, which were awesome. If the second half of this thing wasn't so much fun, I probably woulnd't do it again. 73 de KM8V
KV4ZYSO LP ALLExclusively FT4, mostly run CQ, Dupes called me, I logged them anyway
KW6SSO HP ALLMy second year in a great contest, with a much improved score. Seemed better operators than last year, and a lot more in the 'contest'? areas. Looking forward to using a new strategy next year!
KZ5ASO LP 40Mlog also contains 20M QSOs.... I think. Not sure
LU5YFSO LP ALLThis is my first digi contest...Thanks for patience, see u next year!

N4FPSO LP ALLFlex 6400
N4IQSO HP ALLThanks to the sponsors for a great event. Lots of activity and DX!
N5CRSO HP ALLFAQs said to enter grid ZZ00 for stations not in contest, but WSJTX 2.2's logging in the contest kept sending signal reports over and over and over. There needs to be an easy way to send them a signal report, so whey will quit calling. At the beginning of the contest, I went to 80M and selected FT4 .. WSJTX sent me to 3575 KHz(?) I didn't figure out until the second night that it should have been 3580
N5KOSO HP ALLSO1R, 500 watts, doublet
